Teretonga Park

Teretonga Park is the home of the Southland Sports Car Club and is the world's southernmost FIA-approved motor racing circuit.

Located 8km west of Invercargill, at Sandy Point, Otatara, the track is regarded by many drivers as the best and safest track in the country.

The regular racing programme includes rounds of the local Clubmans Series featuring rounds of South Island Racing Registers and a very large Classic Car meeting in February of each year.

The circuit is also used for Sprints and Motorkhanas. Other clubs run numerous events including Motor Cycle Races, Training Days and Club Special Days at Teretonga.

During the golden age of New Zealand motor racing in the 1960s and 1970s Teretonga hosted many of the world's greatest drivers.  There is a display of memorobilia in the clubrooms.
