Wheels enthusiasts can immerse themselves in fire engines and fire-fighting memorabilia of yesteryear at the Southland Fire Museum in Invercargill.
Southland Fire Musum has five fire engines dating from the 1940s onwards and three members own a further three vehicles.
The Society also has equipment from firefighting services in Invercargill and Southland, along with momentos from the now demolished 1924 Fire Station.
Displays are visual and hands on, inlcuding DVD's and a plasma screen.
The Museum at 215 Spey Street is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 11am - 4pm for a gold coin or any other donation.
