The Southern Farmers Market is committed to the following operational goals:
To provide local growers and producers with a suitable venue to market their product
To promote the sale of locally grown and processed food and artisan products
To improve the availability, variety, quality and freshness of food available in Invercargill
To provide consumers with a direct relationship with the grower or producer
To educate local consumers of the benefits of locally grown and produced food, economically, environmentally and personally.
To be an incubator and support for local enterprise
To help build a more resilient, vibrant and tolerant Invercargill community through a market environment.
